Submitted by sameer on Saturday, August 26, 2006 - 16:09 Miscellaneous

Sunday, September 3, from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM, at the Javacat cafe, on Geary at 20th in San Francisco.

Tux Paint Demo and Discussion with Developer

Tux Paint - Drawing software for kids
Speaker: Bill Kendrick, lead developer

Sunday, September 3, Bill will demonstrate the basic features of the upcoming version of Tux Paint, an award-winning Open Source kid's drawing program for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. He'll be happy to discuss most any aspect of the project, from the kind of use it gets, to the C code, to how it's been to manage an Open Source project.

Bill Kendrick has been writing games since he was a kid, starting on an Atari 8-bit, then moving to Solaris and then eventually to Linux.
He currently works for cellphone game and software developer LimeLife, Inc. in Menlo Park and still helps remotely with the Linux Users' Group of Davis, which he co-founded back in 1999.

See Tuxpaint.org for more info.
