OLPC-SF April '09 meeting: Where do we go from here?
Submitted by sverma on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - 13:25 Events | OLPC | SFSU | Sugar | XO

What: OLPC-SF April 2009 meeting

OLPC-SF will meet on April 11, 2009. Items on the agenda:

  • Meet and greet - 10:00 am to 10:30 am
  • Education: Starr King Elementary...

  • Technology: Fit-PC as a school server, and plasticized active antenna (going to Maroantsetra, Madagascar), Moodle advances, OLPC-SF Repair Center car chargers, new and interesting activities...

  • Outreach: What do we do as a community? OLPC-SF needs definition, mission, goals, objectives and all the good stuff that goes with organized community groups. Oh, and a note taker/blogger, a photographer, and cat herder. Please come to the meeting and take charge of something! Spring semester is coming to an end and I'll be on leave in the summer. OLPC-SF needs to have multiple load-balancers. Don't hesitate to take charge of organizing, etc. especially in the summer.

  • Bring your XOs for the usual software upgrades (build 767 aka release 8.2) if you haven't already done so. - 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

When: Saturday, April 11, 2009.

  • 10 am to 2 pm

Where: Room 553, SF State Downtown campus (835 Market St., San Francisco,CA, 94103). Note that this location is NOT the main campus. This is the same building as the new Westfield mall that houses Bloomingdale's. Look for the SFSU banner on Market St. between 4th and 5th streets, right next to Walgreens. Take the elevator to the 5th floor.

A huge thank you to San Francisco State University's College of Business Graduate Program for letting us use a room on Saturdays.
